May I ask you something? If you were
to die today, do you know for an absolute certainty that you would go to Heaven? Or are you just holding your breath,
hoping you've performed enough good deeds that they'll let you in the Pearly Gates? You can know for sure, without any
doubt or fear, that you will spend eternity with a loving God when you leave this earth. How? I'm so glad you
asked that question! I can hardly wait to introduce you to the One Who made it all possible!
Most religions of the world tell us that we have to clean
up our act - do certain things - to "measure up" to some impossibly high standard that they have
set for approaching God or going to Heaven. If you do enough "good" deeds, you'll get to go. The more
you do, the more God loves you, accepts you, and favors you. In fact, they say, you'll become more like Him by doing
all these things. In other words, religion tries to change us from the outside in. Clean up your bad self, and
then God will love you.
Good news! God saw that we needed help. I mean, we needed help in a bad way! You
see, God wanted a family He could love and with whom He could fellowship, so He created man and woman, Adam and Eve, in His
image. He gave them dominion over the earth and entrusted this world to them. But Satan deceived man
(mankind), and Adam sold out to the enemy and betrayed God (Genesis 1-3). Because of that fall, we are all
born with a sinful nature. But God, in His love toward us, began working a plan whereby He could redeem,
or buy back, His man from Satan, who had been given legal rights to this world. It took thousands of years, but
God found faithful men throughout history, men who would believe Him, trust Him, and follow Him.
Finally, over 2,000 years
ago, God sent His only Son, Jesus, into the world - a world that hated Him - to take upon Himself
the sins of all of those who would ever be born. Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, and then He died for our
sins. Before Jesus' birth, man could receive forgiveness for his sins by offering sacrificial animals, particularly
lambs. Jesus became the Lamb of God, taking all of our sins and dying as our sacrifice once
and for all. No more do we have to make sacrifices to cover our sins. Jesus paid the
debt in full! Romans 5:19 says, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's
obedience, many will be made righteous." By sending Jesus, God bridged the gap between sinful man and Himself,
making us worthy of His love and His eternal life. Romans 5:1 says that we've been justified through faith in Jesus.
Justified - "just as if I'd" never sinned! Hallelujah!
But it gets better! After Jesus satisfied the debt we could not pay, God raised Him
from the dead by His glorious power. The Bible tells us that He was the firstborn among many brethren. That means
you and I can experience this same resurrection power in our lives! All we have to do is receive this gift of eternal
life. And it's free! Notice I didn't say it was cheap. No, it cost Jesus His very
life. But it is free. There's not one single thing that you or I can do to earn God's
love or to make Him love us. Nope, not one thing. Good deeds won't get it, either. Listen to Ephesians 2:8,9
- "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works,
lest anyone should boast." Did you get that? It's the gift of
God. When someone who loves us presents us with a gift, what do we do? Well, I don't know about
you, Honey, but I'm going to reach out and take it! Wow! Someone loves me enough to give me a gift! That's
exactly what God did. He didn't require anything of us. He didn't give us eternal life based on some condition.
It's free for the asking.
Now, what are you
going to do with that gift? Maybe you feel you've messed up your life so much that God could never forgive you or love
you, and that His free gift is for everyone else but you. You may believe, "It's for those who haven't done
what I've done--those who haven't had an abortion, or an extramarital affair, or mainlined heroine..." or whatever
act you believe is beyond redemption. Perhaps you've thought it was reserved only for those who always attended church.
Sweetheart, if everyone was perfect we wouldn't need a Savior! Jesus Himself said in Matthew 9:12 that it's the sick
who need a doctor, not those who are well. God's not mad at you. He loves you!!
We're told in John 3:16,17 that God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believed in Him would
be saved. He goes on to say that He didn't send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that through Him, the
world might be saved. Remember earlier, when I said religion tries to change us from the outside in? God
says, "Sweetheart, come to Me just like you are. My specialty is taking hopeless cases and turning them into something
beautiful. I'll change you from the inside out!"
Now, listen. Some people think that they can come
to God their way. But Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the
life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There are not many paths or roads to God, as some
would have you believe. There is only one way, and His name is Jesus! And it's not hard
to come to Him, either. God made it so simple! Romans 10:9,10 tells us that if we'll just confess (speak) with
our mouths that Jesus is Lord (Ruler, Master) and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead (you can read the
account of His resurrection in the 28th chapter of Matthew), we will be saved. Something awesome happens when we speak
from our mouths and believe in our hearts - God causes us to be born again spiritually, birthed from the deadness of sin caused
by Adam's disobedience into eternal life in Christ Jesus. It really is that easy! When Jesus comes into our hearts,
He wipes the slate clean and gives us a brand new life in Him. I just love 2 Corinthians 5:17, where the Apostle Paul
said, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have
become new." Can you imagine? A brand new start!
How about you? Would you like to know Jesus in a real and personal way? Do you
need a new start in life? Are you tired of carrying the weight of all your failures and sins? Have you been desperate
for someone to lift your heavy heart and strengthen you in this battle against infertility? Well, today's your day!
It would thrill my heart to introduce you to my Jesus right now. If you're ready, pray this prayer with me:
"Father God, I come to You right now in
Jesus' name. Thank You for loving me enough to send Your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins. Jesus, thank You for
loving me enough to come to earth and die for me. Right now, Father, I speak with my mouth that Jesus Christ is my Lord
and Savior and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. Jesus, come into my heart. Fill me up
to overflowing with Your love, Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of every sin I've ever committed and every sin I ever
will commit. I forgive everyone who has ever wronged me, Lord. Help me to show Your love to everyone around me.
Now, based on Your Word and Your promise, because Jesus is in my heart, I'm saved, I'm saved, I'm saved! Hallelujah!"
Welcome to the family! Get ready for the most wonderful,
exciting ride of your life! Now, if you prayed that prayer, I'm going to ask you to send us an email and let us know
that you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, so we can rejoice with the angels in Heaven, okay? We're here
to help you grow in your walk with the Lord and to stand with you in every situation. We love you so much and praise
God for you! Amen and amen!
Yes, I received Jesus!
